"A noble group of Air Elementals appointed with the task of creating atmosphere on barren worlds across the universe. If life exist on any given planet, it's because at one point in its distant past, The Wind Warriors did their jobs well, creating an environment where it could flourish and prosper."
― The Wind Warrior's bio in the Tornado Outbreak Comic[src]

The Wind Warriors, are air elementals tasked with providing atmosphere to barren planets. They originate from their homeworld Harmonia. Much like Nimbus, all Wind Warriors are left handed.

Appearance[]

All soldiers are light blue and wear a belt, a red cape, studded gauntlets, and golden galea helmet with two ornamental wings on the sides. The lower half of their face is covered with a red scarf. Without their helmets, they have two black eyebrows and two small pieces of hair on their head.

Overview[]

They are the unnamed, fearless and elite squad that stands proudly behind their leaders Nimbus and Zephyr. The Wind Warriors' sole purpose is to lend support to whatever mission the leaders deem necessary. Later in the story, the Wind Warriors become an integral tool in the ultimate defeat and destruction of their earthbound nemesis Omegaton. Without the Wind Warriors, Zephyr and Nimbus would be nearly defenseless.

Origins and History[]

Comic[]

Wind Warriors are quiet, calm Air Elementals that are given the task of creating atmosphere on lifeless planets. They are trained soldiers from the Academy of Air, a school made for training Wind Warriors/Air Elementals to mastering the tornado. Their helmet's appearance depends on the current rank they are.

In-game[]

The Wind Warriors' first appearance was in Roadside Destruction, in which they created a barrier of wind to protect Zephyr from the sun's deadly radiation. They play an important role during the Totem battles by providing protection against moving paths of sunlight and any fireballs thrown directly at the tornado.

From Military Mayhem onwards, A Wind Warrior can be seen accompanying Zephyr, as the two of them give a brief overview of what is happening in the current level.

Relationships[]

Cyclone[]

The Wind Warriors maintained a neutral relationship towards Cyclone up until it is revealed that Cyclone poisoned and killed Stratos. With what little interactions the Wind Warriors had with Cyclone, they never seemed to be bothered by his egotistical and brash behavior.

Fire Flyers[]

Like Zephyr, the Wind Warriors never verbally communicated with the Fire Flyers. However, they were willing to assist Zephyr in playing their games of hide and seek and catching them with the tornado.

Their relationship however, is partially strained when flying to catch the Fire Flyers by surprised, one of them ambushes, injures, and captures Nimbus. Though, the motive for capturing Nimbus was to protect him from the UV rays from the sun; this wasn't made aware by the Wind Warriors until it was told by Nimbus himself. In reality, the Fire Flyers were an elite squad of fire elementals sent to earth to prevent Omegaton from regaining his orbs.

Nimbus[]

The Wind Warriors have known Nimbus since graduating from the Academy of Air as it's assumed that he taught them to master the tornado. They are loyal to their lieutenant and are willing to assist him or Zephyr throughout their various missions.

Stratos[]

It is assumed that considering Stratos was Nimbus' second lieutenant, they showed the same respect towards him like Nimbus. When Stratos was weakened by Cyclone's poison, they carried him so that he wouldn't be left behind in formation, indicating their loyalty and care towards him.

Zephyr[]

The Wind Warriors are loyal to Zephyr and is willing to assist him whenever needed. When talking, they refer Zephyr as "Sir", showing a sign of respect to their captain. When discouraged from continuing their mission, they look up to Zephyr as he gives them a speech of encouragement.

Dialogue[]

Much like Zephyr, the Wind Warrior doesn't have a lot of in-game dialogue.
